My name is Marcus Kurak, and I’m happy to tell you a little bit about myself. 😊
My career in physiotherapy began quite a while ago — back when the world was still ruled by enormous dinosaurs and giant insects. Okay, maybe not that long ago, but it’s been several years, and sometimes it just feels like ages. 😊
During my training, I was introduced to pediatrics and completed several internships in hospitals and clinics that focused on this area. It quickly became clear to me that there is nothing more rewarding, uplifting, and fun in the world of physiotherapy than working with children and adolescents.
Since gaining experience is essential for working in this field and for participating in relevant advanced trainings, I first worked in physiotherapy clinics where I acquired various treatment concepts — beneficial both for adults and for children.
For the past eight years or so, I’ve specialized exclusively in working with children and adolescents with neurological and orthopedic conditions. I’ve had the privilege of supporting some of my young clients through physiotherapy from infancy, through puberty, and even into their first steps into working life.
This work mainly takes place in schools with special education programs, inclusive daycare centers, and institutions for individuals who require assistance—places where young adults begin to explore and experience everyday work life.
Because I still enjoy working with the youngest among us so much, I’m always looking for new ways to be useful and to expand my knowledge. I regularly attend advanced trainings and am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Neurorehabilitation and Neurorehabilitation Research. I believe that having an empirically and scientifically grounded treatment approach is extremely valuable and significantly enhances the quality of care for everyone.
Outside of physiotherapy, I’m interested in sustainable living, motorcycles (yes, I realize that slightly contradicts the previous point), anime and manga, and generally in a colorful world where wearing salmon- colored pants with a neon green casual shirt is perfectly acceptable. But I’ll stop myself from going off on a tangent — there’ll be plenty of time for that in a personal conversation!
